fraternity rush

On fraternity side, having just completed round 1, it seems the top houses have already made pledge class choices ptlruir to these formal rounds. In my group we didn't have anyone from Memphis or Jackson and none of us had our names/contact info taken by top 4 fraternities. Is this a fact or perception?
