I'm gonna be honest here because I had such a different viewpoint going into rush than I do now and I wish I had picked kappa or chi o. Everyone thinks that tri delt and KD are the top two coming in and so everyone goes for those two and then you get in them and half the girls are not even from the south, the boys like kappas and chi o's, and like the parties just aren't that fun. I was a party girl in high school so I thought it would be the same going into a "top sorority" but I couldn't have been more wrong. Most of my friends now aren't in my sorority.
Ranks based on grades, social life, beauty, and most well-liked (not money, legacy status, etc)...
Chi O/ Kappa
KD/Tri-Delt
Phi Mu/DG
APHI/ADPI
AOPI
Everyone is biased, and everyone has their preconceived notions before rush, but this is coming from someone who really sees it for what it is. I hope this helps the PNM's.

thank you so much for actually having the guts to say it. literally every girl comes in thinking KD and Tri delt are the best because tradition but like those girls are not fun at all. almost everytime i’m out, kd’s and tri delts aren’t there. the only thing go to is sigma nu. if you like being boring and antisocial, then i guess go tri delt or kd...

"literally every girl" does NOT come in thinking KD and DDD are the best. There is a core group of die-hard mammas that push this idea on their local Mississippi/Memphis high school girls but it hardly translates to any significant numbers of girls who come in thinking that these days.

Now, as far as what you said, I would have told you where you were wrong, but I think it's easier to say where you were right, since you were right about just one thing: Everyone is biased, and everyone has their preconceived notions before rush
