does high school gpa matter

If I have a 2.9 will it hold me back during rush. Also an oos student so does that stuff really matter if you are fun and outgoing

it depends on the sorority... some will drop you based on national requirements but if you have the right connections you are fine.

Grades matter enormously. Your cute little face and being fun isn't going to make up for a mediocre GPA. If you can't pull a 3.0 in high school, you probably aren't going to do it in college, either. I am afraid that you will need REALLY strong connections with members, be a chapter legacy or win Miss American before you rush to overcome anything below 3.0.

I'd forget recruitment and worry about your grades. With that GPA, you're considered a risk for doing well in college anyway. Take your first year, get killer grades, get used to college, then do recruitment.
