It is tacky. A sorority can be proud of how they did in recruitment and be happy with their new members without bragging that they 'swept' everyone else. They are only the only ones who buy into it anyway.

It is unoriginal at best but mostly looks kind of desperate and trying too hard. No, Mommies of New Members, it is not 'tradition and it does look stupid. Doubt the new sorority will put their new class together and then go on social media with a broom.
