pref invites and bids

If you get pref invites and attend, will you get a bid to one of the houses you visit? If you only get invited to one house for pref night, will you get a bid to this house?

Yes if you only get one house pref night and sign your card you will get a bid to that house .

Yes you’ll get a bid if you get only one house. And you will get a bid if you go to two houses but ONLY if you rank both houses.

I'm low key hoping to get only one house back, so I can chill and know where I'm going. I like all the houses I have left, and would be happy at any of them though, so it's a win/win.

It simply means to put both houses where you pref on your card, and to not suicide, or only put down one house out of the two. If you rank both houses you will get a bid to one of them, guaranteed, but if you only put down one of the two you are not guaranteed a bid. If you only have the one house at pref and put them on your card then you will get that bid. Maximizing your options earlier in the week is done for you by the system, ensuring that you go back to as many houses each round that invite you back as possible by not allowing you to drop houses that you still have room for on your schedule.
