what does it take to get past round 2

If you’re not a legacy then grades extracurriculars and number of friends you have in the sorority matter. If you aren’t strong on all 3 of those then your chances fall drastically in most sororities bc it’s soo competitive here! There are so many girls that have great gpa’s and were very active in hs with strong resumes but if you don’t have a lot of girls pulling for you then it’s tough and if you have a lot of friends pulling for you and lower gpa and not a great resume that hurts too. It’s really a numbers game on these three things and remember you are being compared to 1400 other girls and those other girls that were in student council, volunteered a lot and were in cheer, volleyball, dance or whatever and have 4.0 and have a lot of friends in a sorority are going to stay the longest. If you are weak in any of those areas you are always at risk of being dropped bc of the numbers and stats of other girls rushing.

This is how it works at every round. Its kinda like applying for a job with large corps at a recruitment fair. You have to realize you are competing with those around you and what they are all bringing to the table. How many people that interview you and are pulling for you and what education and other experiences you bring are all important.
