aloha chi omega
by: Don’t worryIs it true that the girls who don’t get a bid may be able to help start Alpha Chi Omega. I’m hoping that is the case and girls that didn’t find a home can be a part of something new?
#3by: No, not yet
No, not for this year. They aren't coming on until next fall. What typically happens when a new sorority comes on is that they have representatives on campus who make a presentation during the first round of recruitment only and then they aren't present anymore during that week. Then after formal recruitment is over, they start having events and interviews on campus and start to offer bids and put together their founding member class. Girls who don't get a bid or don't go through formal can rush the new sorority, and also this is where non-freshmen have an advantage, because a new sorority is looking for some mature leaders who know the campus and can take the reigns and lead. They will not offer bids to everyone just to fill numbers; they will have to be picky and choose quality members to have a strong start. Then they initiate, the colony is formed, and they participate in the next formal recruitment, which would be fall 2021.

AXO will recruit in FALL 2020 on their own. They will colonize in Fall 2020z. They will also be making monthly visits this school year with informational sessions. They will recruit all classes, even Juniors and Seniors. Get. Over. It. It is time to add more sororities and reduce the huge pledge class sizes.
