i had a question about mississippi girls
by: OOS PNMThere seems to be a lot of Mississippi girls on my hall, namely Jackson area. I love listening to them, mainly because of the deep southern accent, (I am from Midwest area) but also because many of them assume they will be XOs. Some said they would like to be somewhere else (top tier) such as KD or DDD, but MOM is controlling. Does XO mostly take Jackson girls? I wasn’t invited back so just asking. This is all new to me. I just hope i get one of the three I got back.

Actually the post about the four sororities that are the oldest is true which is also why they do have some of the most legacies. XO founded first, then Tri Delt, then Phi Mu, then KD. Read online and you'll see it's true. And yes, most Miss. girls want those houses, hence their being known as "Mississippi houses".

Just because they are the oldest doesn't mean they are the best or the right choice for every PNM by any means. Is the oldest technology the best? Case closed. These Mississippi people are funny! They are threatened by change of any type. Look at the history of the state. Honestly, it is nothing to be proud of.

Mississippi girls want KD, XO, DDD and Phi Mu. Maybe Kappa. Those first four are the oldest on campus way before the others arrived. They have a lot more OM legacies.
