are rush coaches real
by: want to knowI have heard people talk about rush coaches. Are they truly a thing? How much do they cost? Do they really help? Just wanted to get some input.
#1by: Yes, they are real
Ignore the troll above. If you are about to go through recruitment then it's far too late. If you are still in high school and come from a family who has never rushed a sorority in the South and don't have anyone to help you understand what it's really like and help you prepare, then google Hiking in Heels. Understand that a rush coach will advise you on the process at whatever school you are attending, how to have conversations, what to wear, and help you with rec packets and finding rec writers, but absolutely cannot get you personally connected into inner circles no matter what you may be lead to believe. Rush coaches are not cheap, but some girls in Texas swear by them.

Rush at any SEC school is not something to walk into blindly and unprepared. Most Southern girls have been preparing for rush for many years. There is nothing that the Rush Biddies or any other coach can do for you that you cannot do for yourself, with a little work and research on the Internet. If you prefer to pay someone else to do everything for you, go for it.
#4by: Your rush coach
If someone need to pay for a rush coach that sounds like a self esteem issue. You have to work on your self by working out and eating healthy. Be a good positive person and everything will always work out. Go on YouTube and look up spiritual so and watch the video you need to chill tf out. It helped me a tons.

Yes, people use them and should consider it. You get an ACT test prep tutor, etc., right?
Even moms from the area who think they know the right thing give out a lot of wrong information. EVERY DAY of Rush can change what you thought you should do at a school like Ole Miss.
But if you have the time, you can figure out most of it on your own via the internet. Some people have more money than time though and a rush coach can really help you.
At the very least, consider going to a seminar with tips or something. Especially if you aren’t from the area. Probably would cost $500-$1000.

I know someone who told someone they used one but, when I asked they said they didn't use one. I always wondered why anyone would lie about either using one or not using one. Any insight? (I don't care either way, fwiw)
