I know this is the dumbest thing but I’m thinking about buying my hair dark before school. Would I stand out more as a blonde then having brown hair? And will it look weird that all my pictures I’m blonde and then I have brown hair? Does any of this matter haha I’m just so unfamiliar with this stuff.

Well I personally think that a lot of ole miss needs to lay off the bleach, so I'm all for going dark if you want to. However, just make sure it's a good color for you and you'll be comfortable with it. I'm assuming you'll be getting it done professionally, but just in case you're not, go try on some dark wigs and see what shade of brown works best because it might not be what you think.

The general advice is NOT to make any dramatic changes from the pictures that you submitted with your resume. Just before an important event is not the best time to experiment.

Girls with colored hair are damaged girls. Use your natural hair color. Girls start to look like clowns when they start getting over the top with the way they present themselves. You want to come off as a women who is confident in herself and her femininity. You want to look good without being over the top.

There is nothing wrong with enhancing your looks with highlights or lowlights or going a shade or two different, but you haven't seen some of the looks that we have seen come through the door during recruitment. Every year there are a few girls who just don't get it and have gone way too far with the chemicals and makeup. Exercising some objectivity about what ACTUALLY looks good on you and some good taste will make you look far better. When in doubt, dial it back a little.

Momma why don’t you let girls go through recruitment without the comments. Let them be them. And you find something to do besides bashing young women . Your bullying days should be over by now.

Some girls cannot handle constructive criticism and the honest truth that could actually help them out. They get defensive and call it bullying, and that's why they are known as snowflakes. "Yaaaaayyyyy! Good for YOOOOOUUUUU! You are the BEST ONE! EVERYTHING you do is PERFECT! Anyone who doesn't think so is WROOOOONG and a BULLY!" Is that more like it, sweetheart? There there...

If we can't match your in-person appearance with the photo that you submitted then we are going to have a harder time recalling anything about you during recruitment, and that's a good way to fall through the cracks and get dropped. We try to become somewhat familiar with pnm's before they walk through the door through their photos and resumes, so if you change your appearance too drastically then all that goes out the window and you'll just get lost in the crowd.
