That doesn't happen for sororities. Every now and then a mom has tried to send cookies or something to the house with their daughter's name on them, if you can believe it, and there have been suggestions from parents to sorority alumnae that they would be 'very generous' to their daughter's new house, but all it does is seriously piss off everyone and backfire in the worst way. It's not only a rush violation that sororities take very seriously, but it smacks of such desperation and bad form that the pnm is cut after first round if she isn't banned from rush altogether. We all have girls we are fighting for who we really want, actives and alumnae both, and it's just heartbreaking when some of our very favorite girls get cut, so some parent thinking they can jump the line like that for their daughter just gets her blacklisted.

The only parents who have a positive effect on their daughter’s rush in that way have either been donating for a LONG time (aka they were in that specific chapter at ole miss) or are in some way involved in the chapter (house board, advisors, etc) and, this is important, are actually liked and appreciated by the chapter. Houses don’t view straight up bribes well at all.
