swaps?
by: HarlowWhat are they? Why are they called swaps? Are they just parties?

A swap is a party for a sorority and a fraternity together. There are a handful of them in the fall and they happen during the week. There is usually a theme and you dress up. I don't know why it's called a 'swap' but at other schools they can also be called 'mixers' or 'socials' and can also be between sorority and fraternity pledge classes. Sometimes a swap can be between more than one sorority and fraternity.
