what should i do
by: ModelI'm a model and kind of a big deal back in my home town. Should I drop that fact around during recruitment, or should I just stay quite about it. I don't want to come across as being conceited or anything. Should I take it off my Facebook or leave it on there?

I know of several PNMs going through rush this fall who are models. Some girls who have national and international modeling contracts. Don't think you are some special little snowflake because you modeled for your small 1000 population town in their first ever back to school fashion show.

@Model......ok so I'll just assume this is a very sincere question written honestly in hopes of helpful feedback for the most successful recruitment experience possible ( I'll fight back my preconceived notions of someone referring to themselves as "kinda a big deal") Since we're all in the trust tree together I'll offer these thoughts for you to ponder & come up with the best decision on your own. 1) we do our fair share of snooping, on the girls who have turned in recs & letters so if its on fb we've seen it & are already "dropping it around rush will be necessary only in the tents ALL houses have girls who learn a lot about their assigned pnm's So on to 2) We've established that the houses ( interested in you) have been briefed about your ALL facets of your life ( not just the modeling) so I would really let the sorority girls bring it up during parties. If they consider it a plus, believe me, they will ask you about it. Maybe you're just young or maybe it just came out wrong in your post, but your post seemed to lack a lot of humility....also this isn't exactly a site that brings out the best in people. I really wish all PNM's good luck, but I will add if you really do think you're kinda a big deal & act like it around campus, as a PNM our house will take a pass.

No, I didn't come from a small 1000 population town. I live in one of the largest cities in the nation. Def the largest city in the south! But it sounds like you have already heard about me. No special snowflake here. It doesn't even snow in my hometown!
