rushing as a senior

by:

I've always wanted to join a sorority but things got in the way and now I am a senior and want to know my chances at getting a bid? Im open minded and I dont really care about tiers, and have above a 3.1 GPA.

SO sorry, but the sorority boat has sailed. The chances of you getting a bid at Ole Miss as a senior are really zero. No sorority is going to use a spot for a girl that will be an active only 1 1/2 semesters. Hard to accept, but that is the honest truth. And you don't realize how difficult it would be to pledge as a senior. You would be in a pledge class of almost entirely freshmen, maybe a couple of sophomores. As a senior, you will be far, far ahead of them in maturity, and planning for life after college, while they are just starting. World of difference.

You should definitely give it a shot! If you don’t try it, you’ll never know.

If you were going to be around for a 5th year you could possibly be a candidate for the new sorority coming on. New colonies seek out older girls to establish their founding member class and to serve on the first exec. But if you are going to graduate in the spring then I'm sorry but sororities are not going to consider you as being able to add much.

It's gonna be tough. I don't think it is worth your time and money, but give it a shot if it's something you really want. Like others said, you will be spending a lot of time with 18 year olds but you could be a good influence on them.
