my experience as a kappa:

I USED to be in this chapter a little over a year ago. I chose the completely wrong sorority. If you are between Kappa and Phi Mu, DDD, KD, Alpha Phi, possibly DG, choose them over this chapter of Kappa. I have never felt so disappointed and shocked in my whole life then when I saw the real Kappa after recruitment was over with. After the show was over and I accepted my bid, the fake smiles and fake sisterhood were shown in clear, true color. Never in my life did I have girls sit down with me at lunch and then midway through just randomly get up to go eat with the group of girls who had more likes on Instagram. Why did I have to beg my own "sisters" for a ride somewhere or have to pay them to borrow a pair of ski goggles for a date party or literally any other accessory or clothing?? Why did I hear constant bad mouthing of other sisters every time I sat in the living room to study? As soon as I left, unfollowed on social media by a lot of girls who had pretended to be my "sisters". Just remember, do not get caught up with worry over joining a group based on popularity, looks, or whatever it is you feel the need to be apart of. Be genuine with yourself and with others. LOVE more, it is so much better than hating.
