sorority off campus living

by: HYDR

I will be attending The University of Mississippi and was recently told that many sororities here have specific off campus housing for upper classmen (other than the actual sorority house). Does anyoneone know what some of these apartments/houses are for each sorority chapter?
Also, I am EXTREMELY interested in rushing delta gamma. I am valedictorian, have tons of community service experience, and am a legacy, however, I don’t have any actual dg connections at Ole Miss. Would it still be possible to get a bid from them?
Thanks HOTTY TODDY!!

you live on campus the 1st year.
off campus second year. you can pick wherever, although most people tend to stay at the same few
sorority house third and fourth years.

dg is not top tier so they don't require ole miss connections. i know a bunch of no ones who's moms were dg somewhere else and they got in no problem.

Don't listen to the above poster. Sound like an angry mom.

DG and other top groups will ask you to live in a certain apt complex your sophomore year and you will be asked to room with members of your pledge class. It's really a great way to bond and retain members.

As a legacy, you have an advantage. However, I was a legacy to DG and was cut. I am very happy with my sorority, so I have no hard feelings now. At the time, I was devestated. I have since learned that each sorority is looking for different qualities in PNMs. My point is that you still need to put your best foot forward for every group. DG is a top group and is very competitive. I was lucky and ended up in a top group. With your credentials, you will be fine. Just have an open mind. If you are very interested in DG, see if your mom can connect with a chapter advisor to make a legacy introduction. The sooner the chapter knows about you, the better.
