rec letters

when is a good time to start submitting rec letters? some have told me now is fine but others say to wait until summer.

It is up to your rec writers when they get them submitted. As long as they are received by mid-summer you should be fine. There is no sense waiting; if they come in now it's fine. Better early than late.
