ole miss

by: Your loss

I chose to enroll at another SEC school due to the lack of Panhellenic unity I witnessed at Ole Miss on the several visits I made there last year. I have active friends in several sororities there, including the ones perceived as "top tier." It seemed as though they were still so cut-throat and competitive against other houses long after the dust had settled. Ole Miss was the only school in this region that displayed this type of caste system. Why can't they all just get along?

Well I can't say you're wrong. Sometimes I wish my family would let me transfer since I have my letters if you know what I mean.

Old Row, do you really think people believe you're a student? Because you're obviously one of those moms that hides in the bushes.

^^^ Nope, I just learned at the feet of a national officer. Read everything I can get on greek life. One day then after I marry my Fratstar and have to children, I want to be President of my hometown Junior League ,then run my sorority for at least one term. What are YOUR plans?

Oh, come on. Nobody under the age of 40 wants to be president of the junior league. I wasn't talking about your knowledge of the Greek system. The way you talk gives you away.

And I also think it's silly to transfer because of competitiveness. All sororities are psycho competitive. The ones at Ole Miss are just more honest about. The only ones who ever whine about it are the ones on the bottom.

Reality but there's going to be "cut-throat" competitiveness at ANY SEC school when it comes to Greek. Kind of dumb for you to transfer in my opinion. Sadly there is no such thing as Greek unity.. It's not in human nature.. There's a tier to everything in life if you think about. You should probably transfer to a school without greek

I had friends in 'top tier' sororities at Ole Miss but attended another SEC school and joined a top tier house there. After many conversations with my Ole Mss friends I realized that my school was even more competitive amongst houses. ALL of the SEC schools have very competitive but also strong Greek systems.
