Do you actually think that someone on here know this answer? Good luck making it past philanthropy round.

Worse. Even though theta and AOpi are the newest houses, they've still been around for 30+ years. And it makes a huge difference that they actually have houses. No house means no meal plan, no chapter room, no living in the house, etc.. Also, ADpi is trying to get a full chapter (like literally 300 girls) so they'll likely have no standards on who they pick, so they probably won't get the most desirable class.

it's a lot easier for a new house to move up through the ranks than for older, bottom tier houses to move up because they have a stigma

This is a once in a lifetime chance to become a founder of a sorority chapter. Not a lot of people can say that, and since its a brand new organization the founding pledge class has to ability to take it far or come up short. Yes youll be the newest chapter on campus but if you bring together the right mix of girls itll only take a few years to move up in the rankings. Houses like aopi and theta have had years to get it togther but they just arent recruiting the quality girls they need to make things better, or are simply too lazy to try and measure up. On the other hand, adpi will literally have hundreds of girls from alabama, tennessee, mississippi state , and southern miss helping build their foundation and make them a solid chapter.

this post probably wasnt written by an adpi or if it was it wasn't by one who knows anything about greek life at Ole Miss. I think any girl who goes into a house with the right attitude will be happy in any house. Sorority life is so much more than the "tier reputation" that really nobody cares about after their soph year at best....certainly the guys don't! Everyone wishes adpi the best as another strong house will only enhance greek life for all. However if you really believe that a new house can just race up the ranks & houses like aopi & theta are just lazy then you will soon see you got a lot of things wrong. again doubt this is a real post, but word to the wise, be nice bc you are not going to be where you think you will & will wish that you had been a lot classier.

ADPi is NOT taking just anyone who gets cut out of rush or does not get their top picks. They are going to have an "interview" process to select they members they won't so they can establish a good reputation early. They are building a house, and with Alpha Phi joining campus in 2015 ADPi will not be the "new kids on the block" for long. This is a strong sorority at quite a few SEC schools & will draw some good legacies or good out of state girls who get cut "because they don't know anyone".

They will be taking as many girls as they can, and the VAST majority of girls will prefer established sorority houses and see ADPi as a last resort. Beggers can't be choosers, they really can't be very selective at all, even with an interview. And if I'm correct, they can't build a house for like 3 years, and that's assuming they're a strong enough chapter then.

ADPi is a recolonization, not a brand-new chapter. The fact that they were a bottom house that had to leave campus for low numbers will already be a strike against them in some folks' minds. Ole Miss sorority alumnae have long memories.

And just to be clear PNMs are cut from even the ones you refer to as lower houses. Ole Miss Greek Life is choosy.
