this is so unlikely I'd almost put it in the impossible category, but here's a scenario in which it could happen

PNM goes to two pref parties, XYZ and BBB, but only lists one house. She does not match with XYZ, so she's dropped from recruitment. House ABC is under quota, so they extend her a snap bid, even though she didn't attend their pref party.

The reason why this is so unlikely at Ole Miss is because variable quota is designed so that every house can make quota and reach total. Because of this, it's unlikely that even the houses with the lowest numbers will extend snap bids. It's best to maximize your options so you don't get completely dropped.

Look at it this way: if DG didn't want you at their prefs, it is really rare they would bid you. I can't recall a year our houses have missed quota.
