legacies

When do most houses cut theirlegacies? I know some have to invite them to second round and some can't cut after pref, so do most legacies who aren't getting a bid from that house get cut after the second round? Also, Do houses that compete for the same girls cut the girls who are legacies to their rival house? (Like since Chi O and Tri Delt rush a lot of the same girls will a Chi O legacy be more likely to get cut from Tri Delt because she's a legacy)
Lastly, does anyone know if houses have a quota for legacies, like they can only take so many or are required to take so many

Usually if a house intends to cut a legacy, they will do so right after philanthropy to give the PNM a chance to focus on other houses, but this isn't always the case. Sometimes it's after sisterhood.
It really depends on the girl and on the situation, but a lot of times if a girl is a legacy to a rival house, it could get the girl cut. This is usually only the case if that house really thinks they are going to go to their legacy house. if you are a legacy but are interested in another house, make it known to them! If a legacy to another house is a tip top girl and the house thinks they have a chance, they'll fight for her. The house just has to weigh whether they feel like they can steal her, whether it's worth it, or whether they feel like she knows she's already going to be an XYZ and they feel like she'd fit better at her legacy house.
There is not a quota for legacies. Most house like to have legacies but no house wants too many. Some houses have more than others, and different years houses get different amounts.

If you're a legacy & they know you're not interested, they'll cut right away. Don't take it personal, but there's no reason to keep someone if they know they're not interested. Personally, the legacy thing is a flawed system in the top houses here. I know we've got one who is only here because of her mom and she's has a bad reputation and attention seeking. Not one to blend in.
