The closest thing to hazing in my sorority was during Theta Encore. I had looked forward to it, thinking it would help me bond with my new sisters, but the practices were endless and our 'coaches' seemed to enjoy telling us how bad we were. I was so glad when it was over!

You get showered with gifts, not hazed.

To elaborate on what #2 poster said - all freshman have to participate in Theta Encore, which can be really fun, but you're trying to get 100-200 girls to do a performance when some in a pledge class don't care about at all and and some would give their right arm to get 1st place. You have a few weeks to practice and you have to find time during the busy week where everyone in the pledge class can show up - which is never. The coaches can be tough sometimes but it can be fun too. I just remember our coaches got really frustrated because most of my pledge class did not care at all so they didn't put any effort into it..it kinda pissed me off too. But Theta Encore is far from hazing

I once washed some dishes lol. Then we all had some drinks and went out.

Older actives blind folded me an some of the girls in my PC in the back seat of a car and told us it was going to be a long night of hazing but we just went to a party. ngl I was scared at first lol
