grade

I have ADD/ ADHD which makes it harder to get a higher gpa. Have a 2.75. Will sororities consider this with gpa and allow a lower gpa when rushing?

I highly doubt it. There are so many girls going through each house during rush, I doubt alums/rush chairs will take the time to make special exceptions for a select few.

You should still rush! You honestly never know. Rush is crazy and a house may fall in love with you and overlook your gpa :)

If you haven't already had them sent in- I would let your rec writers know about this- so they can include something in their letters about it which may help.

The people writing your recs can include that if you're open to them sharing that info. But you will still have to have an active fill out a grade risk form explaining why they should over look your gpa. This has to be an active that really likes you and fills it out before rush. But if you know a girl willing to do that you should be fine!

There are lots of girls in greek life that have this same problem and still managed to have a decent GPA. The worry that the houses would have is that if you could only get a 2.75 in high school, what is going to be different in college? You would most likely be on probation unless you could pull your GPA up. With this being said, still rush because you never know what happens! There are girls that get a bid every year with not so good GPA's, so if this is something you want then I say go for it. But I would get your rec writers to write the reasoning on your recs.

College is hard and I hope you are working on ways to improve your study skills etc. so that you can do well regardless of your GPA. It's a setback but you can overcome it!!
