getting a transfer
by: RebelSo my sorority is getting a transfer in the fall and surprisingly she seems pretty cool I think she's from the west coast and heard it's for financial reasons or something but is has anyone else heard of their house getting transfers I'm surprised we could take her but glad too

The only reason I would understand being surprised about a transfer would be if it was obvious the girl rushed somewhere else where it'd be easier to get in to your chapter and then transferred. However, I doubt that happens often so I would hope that transfers got accepted because y'all are sisters, after all!

Thing is I have found after going to my sororities national convention even if "rush is easier" we all possess at some level the same traits / personalities which i think is so cool it is what makes us sisters.... I met girls that my sorority would never in a thousand years consider but are like so many of my sisters its eerie that they would totally fit in with my chapter. Looks / money / connections aren't everything- which is why we tell PNMs to keep an open mind- you never know where you are going to fit in.
