what were your tiers?

Allow me to preface by saying this is mainly who I did and didn't click with in the past year. I'm out of state and didn't make a lot of connections beforehand coming here so I'm in a "lower tier"

I rushed a while back before both ADPi and aphi. I was OOS and have since graduated. Here were my rankings

I am from MS and had a 4.0 as well as a good reputation. This ranking is soley based on which houses felt the most welcoming, real, and fun, connections and legacies aside.

I'm really OOS but had a decent number of connections. And I'm in a house that I love. I won't lie, I was a bit disappointed when I got my bid card because it was my first choice when I got to pref and I was convinced I'd a bid there. But I love where I am. Everybody who says keep an open mind is right. It's really hard to do. The cuts will surprise you. Houses that keep you will surprise you. You basically have to ignore everybody during rush to do that, and that's practically impossible. But try to ignore all of the talk and panic. \n\n\n\n\n

I love this! Okay so I was OOS and really came in not knowing much of anything_ except what I had read on here (stupid! stupid! stupid!) Rush completely shocked me because I won't lie by the time it rolled around I had heard so much talk that I had in my head who I would love, who would cut me and ultimately where I would end up. ALL OF IT was false! This is based solely on who I liked / where I felt like I fit in / was excited by going through and wanted to return to. The one I ended up pledging came as a complete shock to me! So everyone who keeps saying keep an open mind you end up where you are suppose to end up are all 100% right! I am more in love with my sisters every day and can not imagine being anywhere else.

I am OOS and didn't care about the tiers. Of course it's impossible to ignore the 'tier' talk after you get here, but I tried to ignore it and concentrate on how I felt in each house. I really liked KD and Phi Mu, and also liked and felt very comfortable and welcomed in Pi Phi and AOPi. Didn't get a warm feeling in DDD and DG. The others sort of started to blend in to each other. Personally thought Chi-O was oddly awkward which was surprising considering all the hype around them, and Theta was a pleasant surprise. Ended up in a middle tier and I am happy.

I'm from MS, so i knew about all the tier talk before I got to ole miss, although I didn't pay any attention to it because it all seemed superficial to me. This was how I ranked before I went through rush, and the majority of this changed after the first round.

I ended up in a house I never expected to be in, but I love it and it truly is the perfect fit for me. For all PNM's, you will 100% end up in the house you were meant to be in, even if you don't like it at first. Stick with it and you will find your best friends and come to love your sorority as much as I do.
