1. Don't take cuts too personally
2. Don't go into Rush set in one house
3. Even if you don't like a house don't be rude to the actives that talk to you. Sororities talk.

13. Don't fall for dirty rushing. Just because Sue at XYZ leaves nice comments on your instas like "can't wait for you to be here" doesn't mean you're an XYZ. Beware of this especially if you came for a spring party. Keep an open mind and don't just assume you're going XYZ because you will be disappointed.

Kind of building off this, during rush, especially as it gets later in the week, take pretty much everything actives tell you with a grain of salt. If they tell you in any way that you have a place at their house or that they can't wait to see you tomorrow or anything sounding like you have a bid, it is 100% dirty rushing and they either 1. are just mean for telling you that when they actually have no idea how it will turn out or 2. they don't realize that what they're saying might not actually be true. Sometimes actives will tell you things they think are the case when in reality they don't know who made it to the next round or got a bid to their house until right before the parties or the morning of bid day when the list is read out.
So many times girls get upset when they had an active blatantly dirty rush them and tell them that they had a bid when the girl didn't. The active might have really believed it and also been devastated when it wasn't the case, but she shouldn't have said anything in the first place because she didn't know for sure. Actives do NOT know what's going on during rush unless they are on rush team and even still you have to wait to get lists back from Panhellenic because you don't know how things matched up. Take everything actives say with a grain of salt because you never know if it's true or not! And actives, please don't say crap like this.
