I heard that it starts pretty much when classes start. So that means no PNMs going to football pregames.....

When classes begin. It's earlier this year with the new Panhellenic rules and recruitment beginning earlier.

What does it actually mean? Like can your family talk to sororities about you? Can PNMs talk to other girls at other schools about how their rush is going and who they like....

means that PNMs cannot talk to Ole Miss sorority actives. Actives aren't supposed to invite you to do anything, text you, comment on your instagrams, etc. and vice versa. You are fine talking to anyone not in an Ole Miss sorority. (This also might apply with sorority alums tho - at least about rush ?? not sure about that part)

Does that mean after classes start if one of my older friends asks me to do something, I can't? I think people break this because I've heard about it being good if you get invited to a pregame. I'm new to this & not a legacy, so I'm sorry if I sound dumb. I don't want to do anything that I shouldn't.
Does that mean no more DMs from girls asking PNMs to sell or buy stuff?

I mean actives shouldn't be DMing you to try to get you to buy things anyways if you don't already have some prexisting relationship. (Or at all it in my opinion it's a conflict of interests). If you have a longstanding relationship with actives or if you have classes with them and have to interact they probably won't do/say anything until it gets really close to rush.

Thanks for replying and not acting like I'm dumb. I'm in two different group texts with in-coming freshmen & it's happened to everyone. It's mostly from a xo that no one knows personally, only from a not very good reputation. We don't want to be rude, but it's annoying & inappropriate. Some girls started selling it because they were scared to tell her no.
