rec letters
by: PNMdo we need to have our ACT score included in rec letters or on our resume? what are the most important things to have on the resume? and my school never made us do any community service or anything and i know sororities do that, so if i'm doing service over the summer would i include that on there even though I didn't do it YET?? sorry I'm just really confused

Yes include your ACT and/or SAT on your resume. They have to go to your rec writers with all of that included. I have to say I am a little astounded you have no community service...did you ever help with a bake sale, relay for life, Vacation Bible school, watch the nursery at church, Help a neighbor with their lawn or house. Go this weekend to your local food bank.
Community service is really easy! What did you do at school? If you were a cheerleader you had to run mini cheer camp, did you donate blood at a school blood drive? This does not have to be a big mission trip to China...I am sure you have done things for others without pay in your last four years.

Yes, take your ACT again, especially since Ole Miss is one of the few schools that accept scores up until classes start. A better score can help you in many ways not just with sorority rush.

24 is mediocre. No sorority will look down on a girl for this but it's not impressive either. Won't really effect a girl in a negative or positive way.
26-27 is a good score and will effect you in a good way
28+ looks pretty exceptional
Either way act score isn't that important but needs to be included. It won't make or break you. GPA is more important
