what new sororities would you like to see here

Given how big houses are here and how much recruitment has grown, it's likely OM will add more sororities in the future.
When they do, which sororities would you like to see added and why?

What would really help is when the new Sorority comes in they don't attack the other Sororities. Ole Miss Greek life isn't very friendly to new Sororities (or to the old ones either), but we recently had a new one that absolutely came in ready to cat fight. Personally I would like to see Delta Zeta charter here, they are a strong National Sorority and would be a good addition. A new Sorority is definitely needed and would give more girls the opportunity to participate in Greek Life and also keep the size of the other Sororities at a manageable limit.

Agree and I predict that as the mid and lower-tier houses get more girls who a) would have gone higher tier except for variable quota and b) pledge super sharp OOS girls who don't care about tiers, a "new row" will develop like at other schools. Then the system will likely become friendlier to new chapters. Hope so since we need more chapters.

I think as Ole Miss becomes more popular with Out of the State students the importance of the tiers will decrease. The Sororities that are considered top tier are tied more to what high school you attended (and the connections from that high school) and that has little or no meaning for the average OOS. I still can't figure out why everyone obsesses over the 'tiers', it seems juvenile. I'm having fun in my Sorority and I am meeting lots of people. I wouldn't care if I was in a top tier or bottom tier as long as I was expanding my friendships - which I am. My Sorority is just one aspect of my College experience and it's been a great experience.

Why are the top houses obsessed, as you say, with tiers and therefore unsupportive of new chapters? There's really room for everyone.

That won't matter, numbers are unsustainable as they are. Unless you limit house size which means some PNM's not getting bids, we will have to expand.
