finally found xo with 16k paid instagram followers
by: WHY?
I've seen it mentioned in comments a few times that a Chi O has over 16,000 followers, but no one said who. Some guys were laughing about it this weekend and told me. She followed me like months ago, so I followed her, but didn't notice the numbers. WTH? Why do these girls buy followers and likes? Do they do it to pretend they're popular or to feel good about themselves? We're friends on FB, but I don't know her, which I'm sure is the same thing the 25+ people she adds daily says. LOL. I noticed all the new fb friends added coming up on my feed everyday, so I should have known it could be the same person. Again, is this to look popular? I accepted her because we had hundred of mutual friends, but I know there's no way she knows all of them personally.
I'm embarrassed for her. My XO friend said they are all embarrassed. Is the guy in several of her posts not embarrassed? Girl, pay for some therapy instead of likes or better yet, donate to charity what you spend on buying fake friends. I just want to find her and hug her to tell her she doesn't need to do this. This is so weird.
#1by: She's not alone
That's a lot, but she's not the only one. There are other girls on campus that has fake ones too. OP, we must have been in the same place this weekend. We talked about this forever and a girl there said she bought followers in HS to win some contest and got disqualified. LOL If everyone can tell they're not legit, why do it?
I don't get it. I don't know how to do that even if I wanted to. Do they do it to be verified or whatever it's called? Someone posted about needing more followers to get verified. I thought that was only for celebrities?
PNM reading this, don't do it.

fake followers > living on insta
fake followers is one thing, but these girls that follow close to 1,000 people and constantly like other people's pics so their pics gets likes back is worse.
at least with fake followers (1) you must have money they aren't cheap (2) you don't care enough to spend your time liking tons of other's pics daily.
chad's EX, the KD even though you have fake followers you fall into the living on insta group.
Same with the DG freshman cheerleader with dark hair (likes 100s of pics daily) has 10k
Taylor phillips (same likes 100s of pics daily, must be trying to model)
oh and that "alexa" girl who's in hs (think she dropped out) use to date a freshman here, has like 8k...yeah you're already blacklisted from my sorority js
#3by: Hmm
I thought the cheerleaders had to keep public profiles because they are ambassadors for the university and lots of high school and junior high girls follow them because they are kind of looked up to.
I wouldn't hold it against anyone who is just doing their job representing. I think all the cheerleaders have tons of followers for that reason. I am friends with a few of them and they are really nice girls and not really that interested in being social media celebrities or anything
#4by: ambassadors? LOL
ambassadors? LOLLLL never laughed harder in my life.
First, cheerleaders are not football players or basketball players. You hear "Chad Kelly completes a pass to Evan Engram" in a stadium of 60k and countless others on TV to where someone is like hm, I'm going to follow Chad Kelly our QB.
You don't hear "Let's give it up for Makenzie, she's doing her high Vs and low Vs with passion today, it's really keeping the crowd invoked"
Second, cheerleaders are not named any where. Never during the game. Never on TV. In fact the ole miss cheering page doesn't even name 1 cheerleader, not even a first name or a picture. It just has 1 group picture of everyone. They don't tag on their insta either. So, "she's famous because she's famous and a cheerleader" nice try DG.\n\n\n\n\nSecond, cheerleaders are not ambassadors for the school let alone anything. In the 1950s sure, being a college cheerleader is a big deal, but it's been irrelevant for decades. In fact, being a rebelette is more prestigious now than cheering, that's why Collins Tuohy ditched her mom's roots of Ole Miss cheer to be a rebelette.
#5by: Is this true?
if there's really a girl on campus who pays for 16,000 insta followers, give her the business card for the closest mental health facility. tell her to go by the campus food bank located in kinard hall room 213 to ask about volunteering for a reality check. she could help a lot of struggling, hungry students by donating what she spends on making herself feel important.
think about it

#10by: I am a wall flower
I am so happy my life is so boring I have nothing better to do than to obsessive worry about other people Instagrams. I also like this about myself: I comment endlessly about other girls lipstick colors! It's a thing for me! Also, I love, love, love that I love to bash anyone I think is pretty - it makes me feel good about myself! What can I say - I'm a classy gal!!!!!

Ain't that the truth.
To be honest the only people that are freaked out by fake followers are people that can't afford them and have to earn likes by liking a ton of people.
Fake followers are pathetic, BUT these girls that live on Instagram and like tons of pictures daily is just as pathetic. Trust me, we know who you are.
