reaffiliating adpi

by:

I am currently a freshman at another fairly large school and have been initiated into ADPI there. I am very active in my chapter and live in house but the school I am currently at is not a good fit for me. I am looking to possibly transfer to ole miss next fall . How is ADPI here and what are my chances at being able to reaffiliate?

ADPi is a great chapter. It is fairly new and has a diverse group of girls. You should visit and form an opinion of your own of both the school and sorority.

I'd check with the OM chapter to see what their transfer/affiliation policies are.

If being active in the chapter here is really important to you (like it's a deal-breaker not to be active here), then you should visit and meet the girls to get a sense of their sisterhood, personalities, campus participation, etc. You should visit OM anyway, regardless of your sorority interest.

Wishing you the best!

Come to Ole Miss! ADPi is fairly new but doing a great job of building its chapter. The girls in it come from a wide range of states and are all super super nice and would be extremely accepting. The house is also beautiful and brand new. You will also have plenty of opportunities to get involved in various things in the chapter as there are tons of committees and clubs within ADPi's chapter to sign up for. I don't know the transfer process, but I'm sure you could email them or find it on the website.

Good Luck!

Not sure what the case is with ADPi here, but most chapters don't have room for girls (sophomores, even some juniors) to live in the house - just too big to accommodate that many. That would certainly be the case for a transfer.

Also the dorm situation is tight as well at OM so you might be looking at living off-campus as many students do so you'll be driving to campus every day and most apartments are not located right off campus where you can walk.

I'd think about that in terms of your experience here since some girls want to live in house or on campus.

good luck with whatever you decide.
