Every house is good in its own way, it's just a matter of different strokes for different folks.
Rather than bashing other houses we should acknowledge that each house has distinct personalities and therefore provides a place for everyone. Imagine if every house were the same - how boring!
I've known girls who truly could have pledged a top tier house but turned it down to pledge a mid-tier or lower...all because of things like 1) they felt more at ease in the other house, 2) they liked a more diverse mix of girls, 3) they didn't want their legacy house, 4) they just liked the other house better period, or 5) they didn't want to pledge with their entire high school class.
If only girls could realize this during recruitment, they'd save themselves a lot of stress rather than buying into the "top tier" talk can diminish other houses.
