Why does ole miss rush in October and not August like most schools?

Because they want the PNMs to put school first. There used to be large numbers of idiots that would drop out of school if they didn't get in the house they had heard was top

This is correct. The school would lose tons of silly freshman girls every year right after rush. Their daddies would all come and help them pack up and move out of their dorm rooms because apparently their lives were over if they didn't get the house they wanted.
