Okay here is the real breakdown of the Ole Miss sorority stereotypes.
Tri-Delt: Memphis Girls, gorgeous house.
Kappa Delta: Mostly Mississippi/urban Tennessee girls, social, cute.
Chi-O: Jackson girls, keep to themselves.
Delta Gamma: Desperate to be top tier. Obsessively self ranks and bashes others.
Phi Mu: Religious, pageant girls, pretty.
KKG: Southern state girls, like to party, cute.
I am going to put Pi Phi and AOPi together: Diverse out of state, focused, independent, cute, strong sisterhoods.
ADPi: New, diverse out of state, lots of potential.
Theta: Very diverse out of state, quirky but nice, strong sisterhood.
Alpha Phi: New, ambitious - not necessarily academically. Like DG they obsessively self rank and bash others.
In reality it's impossible to generalize any group as large as the sororities at Ole Miss.

How did that prove your point? It could be phi mu or kappa or DG you rank 3rd...I could care less because all three are pretty similiar. I just dont think Chi O is wanted by many people outside of Jackson and doesnt merit top tier status..I dont know ANYONE who after visiting that house thought they wanted to be there....well except all the Jackson girls who live in Martin who wouldnt dream of going any other house.
Top Tier is literally two houses and close behind is another three. Then CHiO
I promise you PNM's everyone would rather be in those two houses on the circle of sorority drive....then the other three houses...then run to anything on else!

Hey truthful, I am from Nashville, and gotta say there really isn't a term "urban Tennessee girls." So, are you trying to say that all girls living in major cities in Tennessee want to go KD? Um. NO. Most Nashville girls want Tri Delt, and yess we do get the Memphis girls, too. But KD's? Nah. KD goes for those Williamson county girls who take glamour shot senior pics in cowboy boots in front of barns and/or railroad tracks or in the sunflower fields. You know, the ones with the fake "hippy" headbands standing on the square down in Franklin or in front of the 12 South painted walls? That's your "urban Tennessee" KD wannabe right there.

For Tri-Delt, KD, and Chi-O it's more about Ole Miss legacies and the High School that girls attended in certain cities. All sororities will consider legacies but there are plenty of sororities that are willing to get to know you during recruitment and will give you a fair chance to find your home.

Sorry your feelings are hurt KD but it's true and you know it. DDD is private school Nashville girls and KD is Williamson County girls and maybe a left over 37205/37215 private school girl not well connected enough to tri delt. OP you will be fine maybe even better off if you don't have any judgements about what these houses are like. You either want to be greek or not. If you want to be greek, whatever you get will be great and best for you. If you are from Memphis you will be just fine and will land somewhere.

I really dont see it as DG desperate to be top tier....but Chi O trying to say they are top tier when they seriously are not that wanted anymore unless you are from Jackson.
I think the top tier is just two sororities honestly.
Chi O is a weird group of misfits that only have one thing in common. location
