fratiest cities outside of mississippi

by: ParrotheadDittohead

What southern cities do you think produce the frattiest students? Obviously, being a frat star is more about the individual, but culture of a place has to count for something too. I guess, this thread could merely be "frattiest southern cities outside of MS" Charleston? Memphis? Mobile? Richmond? Would love to hear thoughts...

Charleston is the coolest city anywhere and a lot of the people from there go to USC, CU, CofC, UNC and UVa. Savannah is similar to Charleston except sub UGA for the SC schools. These two are the actual nicest cities in the South along with NO and maybe Nashville. Not sure those two produce the sheer numbers that Jackson and Mobile do but it's very high quality.

Really pretty much everywhere has good places. Raleigh and Charlotte have Broughton/Myers Park and some good private HS and send a bunch to Woodberry and EHS. Richmond is strong with St. Chris/Cats/Collegiate and there's more really old money in VA than anywhere. The smartest VA/NC people go UVa/UNC/W&L/Wake and others go SEC, Clemson, or some smaller private schools.

Nashville and Memphis have private schools that produce a ton of greeks. Chattanooga seems good. Louisville has Trinity and St. X which are pretty good and Lexington has a fratty feel with Keeneland and all the horse farms. Oh Atlanta produces a ton, especially Westminster and Lovett which are really good, and there are so many from Atl that they end up literally everywhere.

I would do tiers but it's really not worth mentioning bottom-tier places.
