(to the best of my memory, the week was so stressful it's kinda a blur)

The first day is Sunday and you go to every house. It's called "Greek day" and afterward everyone lines up and wait to rank their bottom 3 houses, meanwhile the houses make their first cuts which are generally grades/reputation

The Second and third day(Monday and Tuesday, called philanthropy day I think) you will visit a max of 8 houses which are split up between the days

Wednesday is a break and you don't go to any houses

Thursday and Friday are "sisterhood rounds" you will have 4 or 5 houses ( I can't exactly remember) and they will be split up between the days. I'm pretty sure you rank on friday night

Saturday is pref and you will visit a max of 2 houses and then rank them 1st choice or second choice

And most legacies are kept for philanthropy round. If you're legacy house cuts you it will most likely be after Philanthropy so you will find out on thursday. If they invite you to pref you are usually safe.

I understand why houses do that, it is a courtesy to both the pnm and the member, however I've sometimes wondered if it is actually unfair to a pnm. I think if my legacy house was going to cut me (and odds are they know since they are looking at all of the legacies anyway), it would be better first round. No false "hope" and a clear picture of your options from round 1. Just a thought...not sure it's even right, but just a thought in my head.

Because the courtesy that legacies are extended is dictated by the nationals of most sororities, and usually that is to be asked to the first INVITED round, which is day 2 and 3. After that the house has fulfilled its duty and may release legacies.

I was cut from legacy after sisterhood so unless you are an in house legacy don't expect to just be guaranteed your legacy house. Especially with variable quota.

That being said, I love the house where I landed.
