can it be held against us during rush?

There is this girl who is sending friend requests to everyone going to Ole Miss in the fall, but we don't know her. We thought she was just trying to get to know us, but we found out that's not it at all. LOL. She sends messages wanting girls to get involved in her business, but we feel like if we say no, she will hold it against us during rush. None of us know her, but have mutual friends and we're all getting the same message saying how great we would be at her business. One of my friends is doing it because she's afraid of making her mad before rush, but I don't have time to sell anything with my spring activities and getting ready for graduation. I know grades are important, so I'm trying to keep my GPA up. I really feel this isn't appropriate to put PNM in this position. To be honest, it seems so fake and such a turnoff to me since it's for her personal gain, but maybe I'm wrong to feel like that. Help? Should I do it?

are already picked for next year, as they were for the previous years and all future years.

it's based on legacy, where you went to school, etc.

has nothing to do with some spam business

Don't worry about it if she will hold it against you. If a sorority cuts you because you didn't help a random person sell whatever it is they're selling, then it's best to not be apart of it. They won't cut you because you didn't help them, they will cut you because they do not want you. Also sororities do not have their bid lists yet, just as OM doesn't have all of their incoming freshman. Don't worry about bid lists or anything, just keep a neutral stance with every sorority and you will be okay.

Ignore it. There is no guarantee you will be accepted to her sorority whether you join her selling scheme or not.
