tiers- according to an oos student?
by: Curious
And I don't mean Alabama or TN. Ole Miss has been recruiting from outside the south, more and more. I'd be curious to see how a student from someplace like NJ or IL would "rank" the sororities. Would the same "tiers" hold true for them?
Just curious to see how our greek system is viewed outside the deep south bubble.

I came from OOS - Connecticut actually, and I joined what is definitely considered a "Jackson" house. The ranks honestly don't matter; join where you feel most comfortable! If I joined a house that was "top" where I'm from, i'd probably have waited for Alpha Phi or joined Kappa, DG, or Theta, but instead I joined a house where I saw myself growing and thought I loved the ritual I saw and the philanthropy. I probably would have been happy in any of those houses, but I'm glad I went where I did! Going to college OOS is a great way to stretch yourself out of your comfort zone, so don't listen to any ranks! Just follow your gut.
