refused bids

What happens when a girl does not run to a house on bid day? Is she deemed to have "refused" the bid, leaving her spot open for COB? Does the sorority try to track Her down and have a "talk" with her, or are they too insulted to make the effort? What happens?

Most sororities allow a grace period of like a week or two to allow you to accept your bid. They probably won't try to track you down too much though
