I just completed rush as a sophomore and I won't lie you are much more limited. Some sororities can't accept sophomores, but I fell in LOVE with one that did. Just go through the week and be yourself. See what happens

I will be rushing as a transfer sophomore! What are my chances of getting into ANY sorority? Do I have any chance at all? What do I need to do? Thank you! :)

Sophomore rush is difficult, but it's usually easier if you are going through for the 1st time vs rushing again.

My advice:

1. Be truly open to joining EVERY house. EVERY house. This will greatly improve your chances of weathering what are likely to be deep cuts.

2. Don't bother if your freshman GPA is below 3.5.

3. Recs and support letters for every house!! If you're transferring, can you have friends or alumnae introduce you to some actives so you can start making connections. BUT/ don't get too cozy with any one house. Don't have all your social media pics be with one group or peiple will assume that's all you want.

4. Get involved on campus! Join the important organizations and contribute. This will help you make friends and also ensure if you don't get a bid that you still have a life here. Your high school resume isn't that important as a sophomore so if you had 400 hours of community service in high school and 0 your freshman year, that doesn't look good.

4. Keep in touch with your connections this year!
