Silly question, I know, but hey, it's 4 in the morning. If I went all the way through pref and did not suicide my least favorite, is it likely that my #1 will give me a bid?

No one can say how high up on your favorite house's bid list you are. That determines whether you get a bid from them or not; your first choice matching to their ordered bid list until they reach quota. If they fill their quota first then you might match with your second house. If both houses make quota before they get to your place on their bid lists then you will be eligible to be a quota addition, in which case every effort is made to match you with your first choice until they reach house total, after which you would match to your #2 or be eligible for the very rare snap bid. Suicides don't get snap bids. Also, if you get a bid and turn it down, you are done for good. No COB for you and you will have to try again after a whole year but by then it is not likely you would get a bid from any house. Take your bid if you get one to your not favorite house and meet your new member class and try really really hard to make it work. You may end up homecoming queen in a few years.

You will get a bid if you ranked both your pref houses. Don't worry. Prepare to run home.

You could end up without a bid to either of the two houses you pref! Then they will offer you a snap bid to a house that you did not pref that may not have met their quota and had you on their list.

So, if there are no quota additions and I did write down the 2 I went to pref with, could I still end up without a bid?
