So, your house has 587 coming back in the next two days if you cut over 1,000 last night and there are 1587 going through? I'm just trying to understand. I am new to all of this.

Top houses were asked to drop 1000 girls. Their rounds should be significantly smaller tonight.

When you say that top houses were asked to cut 1000, what sororities are considered top? Is that just DDD. XO and KD, or does that extend to DG, Phi Mu and Kappa. Were they also asked to release less that 1000? I'm confused.

The number of girls houses were asked to release depends on the past three years return rates.
If I were a bettin' woman, Iwould say xo, ddd, and kd were all required to release between 800 and 1000 girls. DG, phi mu & kappa were probably asked to release between 600 to 800 girls. Phi phi and adpi probably released between 500 and 600. The other three would have only released those girls who did not meet their requirements. I don't think Panhellenic would have required cuts from the newer sororities, those would be left up to the sororities.

Our rush chairs told us we cut over 2/3 of the girls going through rush, so that is roughly over 1,000. Panhellenic required us to do so!

I know of four girls who were dropped completely. 3 were grade risks, one got drunk and made a fool of herself the first weekend on campus. I'm sure there are more.
I've heard several girls talking about dropping out, but they are all saying they will see what the next round of cuts brings. Most girls are listening to their Gamma Chi's when they say that the larger pledge classes will help make the sororities be better.
