quotas affecting who

Will the variable quota system only affect top tier? Or will the cuts trickle down into kappa, phi Mu, Dg or Pi phi??

There are no defined top tier sororities. The houses with the most retention rates are the ones who will have a more defined variable quota. For example, Chi O and Tri Delt have larger retention rates than Phi Mu, DG, Kappa, etc. Every sorority is going to make cuts because, lets face it, we cannot take every girl who bleeds pink, blue, or green. Phi Mu, DG, Kappa, etc will be able to take more girls and will have larger pledge classes than, let's say, Tri Delt. I don't think that you should let this affect your recruitment though. Each sorority is great in their own way. If they want you badly enough and you want them just as badly, it will all work out.

Most sororities will have about the same quota as last year (~150). Some houses will have closer to 100 (chi o, ddd, kd, because not as many girls in these chapters drop junior or senior year) and some will have closer to 200 (aphi, adpi, theta, because lots of their girls drop). The reality is that besides legacies and girls who really love their chapters, a good portion of upperclassmen drop because letters aren't as important anymore and it's so expensive/time consuming
