friends in other sororities
by: PNMHow much will it impact my social life if all my friends end up in the same sorority and I end up in a different one?

It will hurt your relationships outside that sorority somewhat no matter what sorority they go. You're constantly around your sisters during meals and practices and swaps and basically everything so you need to put in the effort to keep those other relationships going. If they're really great friends, they'll put in the same effort to keep in touch and hang out often. If not, don't even worry about them.

And this is a fabrication of how things should be, but are not.
I'm from out of state and didn't know all that many girls going into ole miss, let alone rush, but it did change for me considerably.
A large group of girls from my hometown went into one sorority. (I did not). Three years later we say hi when we pass each other, but never hang out. Another close friend of mine went into a bottom house, (I did not). She hasn't spoken to me since bid day.
One exception is a girl who lived next door to me that I met in the dorms. We got close before rush started. Even though we went to different sororities, she remains my best friend. However, we hardly ever hang out. She goes out with her friends, and I go out with mine.
Things will change. You will lose friends and gain others.
