by: PNMWill the houses find it weird that I don't have a Facebook? I have an Instagram but I never post. I'm totally normal and not a sociopath I just don't find social media interesting. (But I'm not an annoying person who constantly talks about how much I hate social media, in fact I feel bad when people ask for my Facebook and I have to say I don't have it.) Thoughts?

Yup, you'll be able to get away with this when you're a senior for sure, but as a PNM you absolutely must have it.

and I agree, it's superficial but if you want to get into a sorority ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Clearly she doesn't mind that fact if she's rushing.
Also, someone above even said that she won't need it forever. You definitely need it during rush though.

Also, as active's we are asked to use our social media accounts for a variety of reasons.
During elections we are asked to use social media to promote our candidates.
We all join private Facebook groups to discuss everything from what's for dinner at the house to "hey everybody check out this girl coming next year, she's super cute".
When we have a friend who recommends you, we will Facebook message you letting you know we heard about you and let us know if you have any questions.
Throughout the year we are encouraged to post pictures of us having fun so future pnm's can see how wonderful we are.
If you don't use social media, you can't do any of the above or be a team player for that matter. It simply doesn't look good. I don't care what anyone says.
