almuni recommendations??
by: PNMI'm very interested in rushing. The only problem is I'm from up north and know no almuni from any sororities. Not only did I have an excellent GPA in high school but I also did lots of volunteering and extracurriculars and have a wonderful personality. Will I be cut just because I don't have any recommendation letters??

Unfortunately yes, at least for most of our sororities.
Most sororities have national policies that require recommendations in order to be considered for membership.
Some of our sororities will help find you recommendations if they really like you, but the top six sororities already have too many girls they want and not enough spots. You will likely be dropped from those after the first round without recommendations.

Thank you for your response! This really helped. Since I don't have any recommendations and I've never gotten the chance to interact with the sororities like I'm assuming those who live in the area have, I don't know if I'll go through the process. If I do, I'm definitely more ready for rejection than I was before.
