Just an opinion, but the way they handled their recruitment was less than desirable. Emails went out to some girls who were apparently cut- but were actually sent in error and their was not good communication from the top down. Perhaps it was due to fact that they held their recruitment after formal recruitment was over with- and that they are so new that they will obviously have growing pains. But I know some girls were very upset at the way things were handled.

Completely agree. It's too early to say they are the worst, and too early to say they are better than any other sorority.

I am in no way sore or upset about it, all worked out in the end, and in the way it was intended and my daughter is extremely happy in her sorority and house. All I am saying is that the process was not handled right and the way notifications were sent. I have spoken directly with some who actually were in contact with the leaders of recruitment during the colonization and even they admit, problems and errors did occur. When issues and problems happen the only way to improve a process is learning from mistakes. I truly believe they will have a fantastic rush this fall and will learn from the mistakes made. In the end its all about the girls finding the house that fits them best and being open minded about every house.

No! I did not speak with them personally my friend did who knows the leaders personally. They were unaware of my situation totally but when they were made aware did say mistakes were made and really what difference does it make who and when it was said?? Point is lessons were learned and hopefully not repeated. I wish Alpha pi all the best going forward.

First of all i was not insulting anyone here...perhaps you should go back and reread my last post. I was just acknowledging some mistakes made and that I ALSO wished them the best going forward, which is something I truly do feel. This is NOT high school for god sakes and perhaps you all should learn some manners and respect as one has previously stated. My daughter has figured out much this past year and how greek life is at Ole Miss. She is very happy and I was just stating a fact that's all. get over yourselves and I do hope you show your parents better love and respect that what I have received.

Theta is NOT BETTER THAN ADPI OMG this is literally so fake I'm gagging. I'm glad I didn't go adpi but if it's between theta and adpi most girls and a couple of my friends in my dorm (pretty but bad grades/no recs or connections) went adpi and they love it

Sounds like people are simply but#hurt and like to hold on to their disappointment about not getting chosen. Some would lead you to believe that Alpha Phi should have taken anyone and everyone "left over". But, it would appear that they did just fine and defied all the naysayers. So, everyone just needs to get over it and let them do their thing. They are starting out and trying to make their way on a very competitive campus. I think they are doing it brilliantly.
