how hard is it to get into kkg
by: PNMI have a lot of connections with KKG and stayed with them for spring parties. If i have a yellow zone GPA will they cut me? What are their GPA requirements?

Girls are getting into Ole Miss with 2.5 - 2.9 gpa which is ridiculous

can a girl with a 3.0 get in? I heard the gpa requirements change every year depending on the previous pledge class

Kappa lost their social privileges several years ago because of low chapter gpa. They changed their requirements 2 or 3 years ago.
Might be tough for you unless all the girls you know seriously go to bat for you and prove you have other strengths they need more than a gpa.

Yes. You can get in with below a 3.3. The active will just have to explain her reasoning to the chapter about why you'd be a great addition and then submit a form to nationals. Last year I know most girls who had connections with above a 3.0 were okay but those without a 3.0 and heavy connections were cut.

my best friend is a kappa and she explained the gpa situation to me. to get a bid from kappa you have to have at least a 3.3 gpa. unfortunately it's not a matter of "I hope they'll like me enough to look past my gpa." kappa actives have to send in a letter to national headquarters regarding their favorite pnm explaining why they think that girl would be a valuable member and try to justify why they might have a low gpa. it definitely isn't an easy process and they wouldn't do it for just anybody. sorry :(

Did they change this recently? Because I know a lot of the incoming upperclassmen did not have that great of gpas and somehow got in

Ole Miss admissions are lower than many national sororities gpa requirements. As a result, Kappa has to be very careful to only pledge girls with 3.3 gpa or greater gpa. Every Kappa chapter nationally has higher academic standards than Ole Miss. This has put pressure on Kappa at Ole Miss to not pledge girls below 3.3

the reason KKG has raised the GPA requirement to a 3.3 is because two years ago they had the lowest GPA of all sororities. Their nationals took charge and made it a rule that PNMs couldn't get in with a below 3.3 high school GPA because they are trying to raise chapter GPA. BUT if you are a legacy, you are an exception

My roommate got into kappa with a 2.9 last year and she wasn't a legacy. But she did know four girls from her high school who were active's.
I guess the active's helped push her through.
