dirty rushing?

So as a pnm, we hear about dirty rushing but depending on the school you are going to, it seems rush rules are different from school to school.

I'm from Houston so most of my friends are heading to Texas schools. I tell them how I'm being recruited and they all say I'm being dirty rushed, but the active girls from ole miss and their moms are telling me it's okay.

I had a kd whom I've never met, but knows my boyfriend, buy me a graduation present. Weird! I've had a chi o and her mom invite me to parties at their house for other freshman girls, but I've never met them (they got my name from friends of mine).

I'm not complaining but some of my Texas friends tell me I might get in trouble and not get to participate in rush if I accept presents and hang out with active's I don't already know.

I'm seriously asking active's from ole miss, what should I do?
