theta???

Question.
Theta is very popular here in Texas. I know they are not top tier at ole miss, but can a theta active tell me honestly how it is? Please be honest.
Also. Kd is not looked upon that great here in Texas, but are considered top tier at ole miss. Can a kd tell me if it's embarrassing when they go home?
I'm considering Ddd, xo, and kappa because those are popular in both states, but would like to keep an open mind with the others.
Phi mu and aopi are non-existent here. Pi phi is good, but I know a pi phi at ole miss and we have issues.

Honestly it doesn't matter what sorority your in when you go home. I'm from Texas and I'm not in a "Texas" sorority because I went where I felt was home.
Best of luck rushing "Texas" sorority, if you are so set on that maybe you should go to. Texas school and not Ole miss

So since recruitment hasn't taken place yet, what happens if you go to the houses you're "thinking about" and hate them? What if a few of those houses drop you? What if you fall in love with AOPI or Phi Mu? This is not a smart way to go into rush. Who is "top" varies from school to school.

I have the most friends in kd and theta at ole miss. That's why I'm looking at them. I also have strong connections in Ddd and xo. I have no connections in phi mu or aopi so I doubt I will get a bid to those. Don't have any solid connections to dg either.
I'm not trying to say those are the only sororities I want a bid to, just being realistic.
Can someone please just answer my original question? Do thetas get fed up with their reputation and drop before their senior year? I know several thetas who did that at ole miss.

Im a theta at ole miss, and no, girl's don't get fed up with the reputation because guess what? NO ONE CARES AFTER FRESHMAN YEAR! I love theta and honestly wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I hate our reputation but we're changing it. we have gotten so much better over the past couple of years. do not let something as so trivial as the reputation stop you from joining the house you love. go where you feel comfortable and feel like you would fit it. screw the tiers because in reality they don't exist. tiers are made up to make other people feel better about themselves. if you're embarrassed to go home with whatever letters, maybe you should consider not rushing.

I am a theta at ole miss and tbh yes the whole negative attitude that we get from others is very frustrating BUT I would not change being in theta for anything. They have some of the sweetest and most down to earth girls I have ever met. Don't worry about what sorority your friends are in. The worst thing to do is just to pick a sorority just because you have friends in it. Pick the house that you feel at most at home at. If you like theta the most go theta. If you like DDD the most go DDD. Screw anyone else opinion about what sorority you are in. In the end you are the one in the sorority not them.
